• Wireless Bluetooth Hands Free Use: Yes, the IC-A16E has Bluetooth for wireless and hands-free operation with a compatible accessory; of which there is a good section.
• Full Airband Frequency Range: IC-A16E operates between 118.000MHz and 136.992MHz, meaning this great airband two way radio covers the entire airband two-way radio frequency range.
• 200 Channels: A massive 200 programmable channels. That means the user is unlikely to ever run out of channels.
• Very Loud Audio: Icom knows that whether you’re on the airfield, runway or in the air traffic control tower, loud and clear audio matters. To that end, Icom has included a very loud and clear 1500mW front speaker.
• Compatible With Third-party Aviation Headsets: IC-A16E can be used with most industry standard aviation headsets by using the Icom OPC-2401 headset adapter (sold separatelty).
• 8.33 kHz and 25 kHz Bandwidth: Aviation uses both 25kHz and 8.33kHz. Icom IC-A16E supports both bandwidth options meaning it’s absolutely futureproof.
• Wide Operating Temperature Range: This radio can operate anywhere between -20°C to +55°C, meaning it can withstand extreme temprature changes.
