Product Overview
Motorola R7 is a premium professional MOTOTRBO portable two-way radio built for organisations that need dependable communication in noisy, busy and demanding environments. It is well suited to industries such as construction, logistics, manufacturing, transport, security, emergency response, utilities, events, facilities management and local government operations.
Note: Motorola R7 replaces the DP4000e range, including DP4400e, DP4401e, DP4600e, DP4601e, DP4800e and DP4801e.
Available in UHF or VHF, the Motorola R7 can be selected to suit your existing radio system, site layout and coverage requirements. UHF is commonly used for warehouses, factories, shopping centres, schools, construction sites and urban environments, while VHF is often better suited to open outdoor areas, rural sites, farms, estates and transport operations.
The R7 is available in No Keypad (NKP) and Keypad & Screen (FKP) versions.
The R7 No Keypad (NKP) model is supplied as a Premium model only, making it ideal for users who need a rugged, straightforward radio with advanced features already activated. The R7 Keypad & Screen (FKP) model is available as either Capable or Premium, giving businesses the option to choose a lower-entry model and upgrade features later, or select a fully featured model from the outset.
The Capable version includes the core radio features required for everyday professional communication. Additional premium features can be activated later using an EID (Entitlement ID), which is a licence code used to enable extra functionality on the radio.
The Premium version has almost every available feature already activated, including GPS, Bluetooth, Man Down and WiFi. This makes it the best choice for organisations that want the full R7 feature set without needing separate feature upgrades.

Model Type
R7 No Keypad (NKP) — Premium Only
A rugged, screen-free and keypad-free model designed for simple push-to-talk operation. This version is supplied as a Premium model, with advanced features already activated.
R7 Keypad & Screen (FKP) — Capable or Premium
A full keypad and screen model for users who need easier access to menus, contact lists, text features, status information and advanced radio functions. Available as either Capable or Premium.

Premium
The Premium model includes almost every available feature already activated, including GPS, Bluetooth, Man Down and WiFi. This is the recommended option where advanced features are required from day one.
