Product Overview

In order to use any normally licensable two-way radio on UHF CB channels, ACMA requires the radio to be type-approved. The SW000472A01 is an enablement ID (EID) licence key that makes various Motorola radios meet this criteria.

One Per Radio

You will need a licence key per radio. This licence key will be issued per radio serial number and will only activate on the radio with matching serial number.

Compatible Radios

Please Read: This licence key is ONLY compatible with the UHF Verison of the radios listed below.

  • Motorola DP2600e UHF
  • Motorola DP3661e UHF
  • Motorola DP4600e & DP4601e UHF
  • Motorola DP4800e & DP4801e UHF
  • Motorola R5 (LKP Display Version) UHF
  • Motorola R7 (FKP Display Version) UHF

Note: It is unclear whether this licence key would work with non-E DP models. Please email us your radio model (on the back of the radio starting with MD or AZ) and we will be happy to check with Motorola Solutions for you.

Important Note - DP4801-Ex: This licence key is not suitable for DP4801-Ex. The UHF version of DP4801-Ex (MDH56QCN9PA3AN) covers 403-470MHz and does not cover the 476-477MHz requried. Further, DP4801-Ex is designed exclusively for hazzardous environments and could never meet the criteria for UHF CB type approval.

Requirements

If you purchase the SW000472A01 licence key at the same time as purchasing one of the radios above, we are happy to pre-install this licence key for you at no additional programming cost. If you would like to install the key yourself you will need a programming cable for your radio and software. See the table below.
