2. What Data Is Collected & Why…
2.1 Contact Information
In the process of placing an order we collect your your name, business name (where applicable), billing address, email address and telephone number. Where you would like an order delivered to a different address, and we authorise this, we may also collect a delivery address. This information will be stored indefinitely for tax reporting purposes and fraud prevention.
Your tax invoice will display your billing address.
We also ask for billing information for orders for virtual products for the purposes of invoicing and fraud prevention.
We may also use your email address to contact you for marketing purposes. You can opt out at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
2.2 Comments
When visitors leave comments on this website we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection via the Akismet Anti-Spam system.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

2.3 Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
2.4 Cookies

2.7 Live Chat
To better facilitate visitors we operate a live chat client on this website. This service is provide by tawk.to. We have no control over this software and the information it collects. tawk.to manages it’s own privacy policy.
3. Data Retention
If you leave a comment (or a product review) the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is to improve the quality of our website and so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username) by logging into their account (click here).
Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
We do not store credit card numbers.
4. What Rights You Have Over Your Data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. We will charge an administration fee of $20 AUD for this.
If you would like to be removed from our mailing list, this is something you can do yourself by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. Any emails in progress will still be sent and received by you. Please allow 24 hours for your email address to be completely removed.
You cannot unsubscribe to transactional email related to orders placed. These are not marketing emails.
Please note: Whilst you have the right to request your data is removed from our marketing platform, we cannot erase any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, security or fraud prevention purposes. This includes contact information on invoices, for example and IP addresses.
5. How We Use Your Data & Where We Send It
Radiotronics Pty Ltd is a private company 100% owned by Radiotronics Group. Your information is stored on secure servers in an encrypted database.
- Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service called Akismet Anti-Spam. This is explained in more detail in section 2.1 above.
- For orders placed on this website, postal address information will be passed to delivery services who use the information only for the purposes of delivery.
- When an order is placed and payment is made, we will send your contact details to our payment processor. You can obtain their privacy policies from them directly by using the links below.
- Contact information may be used for marketing purposes by Radiotronics Pty Ltd only. We do not share your information with any other company.
- Contact information may be passed to manufacturers for the sole purpose of registering a product’s warranty. Individual manufacturer privacy policies are available on request.
